We’re one of the many local clubs that form the United States Pony Club.  Our members learn how to ride well as well as how to care for their mount.  So activities include both mounted lessons and unmounted dens.  To join, you’ll need to have your own horse or access to a horse.  Pony Club activities include dressage, show jumping, eventing, games, polocrosse, tetrathlon and quiz, and you might qualify to go to the National Championships which are held each summer.

Pony ClubbersPony Club is an international educational organization that provides a program which teaches riding, mounted sports, the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, sportsmanship, moral judgment, leadership and self-confidence. The principles of the United States Pony Clubs are that a member progressively develops into a well-rounded horseperson capable of riding safely on the flat, over fences and in the open; has knowledge in the care of horses and ponies (horse management), is committed to the well-being of the horse, is fair and friendly, develops teamwork and sportsmanship and is committed to safety.  The USPC requires parental and volunteer support and involvement.
